The one-time setup

Give it a permanent place on the dash.

Set ParcShade up once and it stays where you need it. No more searching the trunk or back seat when the pavement is cooking.

ParcShade housing installed across the lower windshield and dashboard
The adjustable housing sits low across the dashboard and remains in the vehicle.

Match the windshield width

Extend the telescoping dual-bar housing until the end mounts line up near the lower corners of your windshield.

Secure the lower mounts

Press the suction mounts firmly against clean glass so the housing stays positioned across the bottom of the windshield.

Check the position

Keep the housing stable and low on the dash, clear of the steering wheel, displays, vents, and driver visibility.

Test both panels

Pull each panel up to its matching sun visor, attach the hook, then unhook and verify that the panel retracts smoothly.

Every time you park

Pull. Hook. Protected.

The driver and passenger panels work independently, making it easy to cover the windshield around mirrors, cameras, and different interior layouts.

  • Pull the driver-side panel upward
  • Attach the upper hook to the driver sun visor
  • Repeat on the passenger side and adjust coverage

Retract slowly

Smooth retraction

Let the mechanism do the work.

Unhook each panel, hold it securely, and guide it down as the internal mechanism retracts the shade into the housing.

If a panel does not retract fully, pull it out completely and release it slowly. Repeat several times if needed.
Do not force or push the shade into the housing. Guide it gently and allow the retraction mechanism to pull it in.

Useful details built in

It does more than block the sun.

Emergency glass breaker

A glass-breaking tip is built into the end of the housing. Remove the red protective cap before emergency use. Keep it away from children.

Pen and notepad holder

The included S-hook can hold a pen and small notepad on the dash, keeping another everyday essential within easy reach.

Installation questions

A few things to know.

What should I clean before installation?

Clean and dry the lower inside corners of the windshield where the suction mounts will attach. Dust, oils, and interior protectants can keep suction mounts from holding securely.

Where do the upper hooks connect?

Each upper hook attaches to its corresponding vehicle sun visor. The hooks hold the extended panels at the top while the lower housing remains secured near the base of the windshield.

Can I drive with the panels extended?

No. ParcShade is intended for use only while the vehicle is parked. Always unhook and fully retract both panels before starting to drive.

What if a panel does not retract all the way?

Pull the panel out fully, then release it slowly and allow it to retract. Repeat the process several times if needed. Do not force or push the panel into the housing.
