How ParcShade fits your windshield and where everything connects
Will ParcShade fit my car?
ParcShade uses a universal, adjustable dual-panel design. The telescoping housing adjusts across different windshield widths, so you do not need to choose from several shade sizes.
How do I install ParcShade?
Adjust the housing across the lower windshield, then press the suction mounts at both ends firmly against clean, dry glass. The housing stays low on the dashboard. When parked, pull each panel upward and attach its hook to the matching sun visor.

Does ParcShade attach to the visors or use suction mounts?
It uses both, in different places. The suction mounts hold the lower housing in position near the base of the windshield. The hooks at the top of the extended panels attach to the driver and passenger sun visors.
What should I clean before installation?
Clean and dry the lower inside corners of the windshield where the suction mounts will attach. Dust, oils, and interior protectants can prevent the mounts from holding securely.
Does the housing stay on the dashboard?
Yes. That is the central idea behind ParcShade. Once installed, the adjustable housing remains low across the dashboard so the shade is ready whenever you park.

Using the shade correctly whenever you park
How do I use ParcShade after it is installed?
When you park, pull the driver-side panel up and attach its hook to the driver sun visor. Repeat on the passenger side. When you are ready to leave, unhook each panel and guide it back into the housing.
How is it different from a fold-up sun shade?
ParcShade stays installed on the dashboard. You do not need to find it, unfold it, fit it into place, then fold and store it again. Pull the panels up when parked and retract them when finished.
How should I retract the panels?
Unhook one panel at a time, keep hold of it, and guide it down gently while the internal mechanism draws it into the housing. Do not push or force a panel into the housing.
What if a panel does not retract completely?
Pull the panel out completely, then release it slowly and allow it to retract. Repeat this several times if needed. Do not force or push the panel into the housing.
Can I roll the windows down while ParcShade is extended?
Yes. ParcShade is designed so you can vent the cabin while the windshield is covered. The vehicle must remain parked while the panels are extended.
Can I drive with ParcShade covering the windshield?
No. ParcShade is for use only while the vehicle is parked. Always unhook and fully retract both panels before you start driving.

Does ParcShade include an emergency glass breaker?
Yes. An emergency glass-breaking tip is built into the end of the aluminum housing.

The included S-hook can be used as a pen and notepad holder on the dashboard.
