A simple problem worth solving

ParcShade started with the shade people stop using.

Vincent Mao did not set out to make another version of the same folding windshield cover. He wanted to fix the part that makes most sun shades a hassle.

Traditional shades have to be found, unfolded, squeezed into place, removed, folded again, and stored somewhere in the car. Even when they help, that routine makes them easy to skip.

The idea behind ParcShade was more practical: keep the shade on the dashboard, ready when the vehicle is parked and neatly retracted when it is time to drive.

Make sun protection easy enough to become part of the parking routine.

The thinking behind it

The idea was never just more shade.

It was about removing the friction between parking the car and actually protecting the interior.

The familiar problem

A shade can work and still be too inconvenient.

If a product is bulky, awkward, or buried in the trunk, people eventually leave it there. That defeats the reason they bought it.

The ParcShade answer

Put the protection exactly where it is needed.

The retractable housing remains low on the dashboard. When parked, the two panels pull up and hook to the sun visors. Before driving, they retract back into the housing.

Ready without folding, wrestling, or searching

From idea to protected design

A patented approach to a very old problem.

ParcShade replaces the loose folding panel with an adjustable, dashboard-mounted system designed to stay with the vehicle.

The original design

An earlier ParcShade design was issued as U.S. Patent 10,081,227 B1 in 2018 and came in multiple lengths.

The universal redesign

In 2022, the design was reworked around one adjustable size for cars, SUVs, and trucks.

ParcShade today

The current dual-panel, telescoping system is protected by U.S. Patent 12,686,252.

What guides the product

Useful beats complicated.

Every part of the concept comes back to a straightforward question: will this make the shade easier to use in a real car?

Adjust to the vehicle

The telescoping housing and independent panels adapt across a wide range of windshield widths and interior layouts.

Stay ready on the dash

The housing remains in place so covering the windshield does not begin with finding and unfolding a loose shade.

Make protection practical

The product is designed around frequent use, helping block sunlight and UV while the vehicle is parked.

The idea in your car

A good invention disappears into the routine.

Pull it up when you park. Hook it to the visors. Retract it completely before you drive.

That simple routine is the reason ParcShade exists. No accordion panel to fold. No bulky shade to store. Just an adjustable system waiting where you use it.
